Mike
has over 25 years of knowledge and experience in Safety,
Environmental and Risk Management issues. He has developed and
implemented Occupational Health and Safety Programs, Total Loss
Control Packages and Specialized Training Programs for a variety of
clients including General Motors, Ford of Canada, and Lafarge.
Mike has also been
employed as a Corporate Safety Coordinator by a Fortune 500
pharmaceutical firm after completing the Safety Engineering
Technologist Program at Humber College. He has also worked in the
private consulting field (Safety, Workers' Compensation, and
Computer Programming) and developed numerous accident and recovery
based software programs.

Doug
has been a
Field Consultant for ESAO since 1998. For 10 years previously, he
was responsible for communications and program development for
health and safety associations serving the mining, forestry and pulp
and paper industries. He has also been a school board trustee for
12 years and a part-time professor of political science at Nipissing
University in North Bay.

Alain
has been working
with ESAO since July 2003, as a Field Consultant responsible for the
French clients. Prior to that, he was employed for nine years in the
health and safety field in the French school board of the Ottawa
area. He also served as the president of the Regroupement des
conseil francophones pour la santé et la sécurité and obtained a
greater level of French services for the school boards.
Alain
s’est
joint à l’équipe de l’ESAO en juillet 2003 à titre de consultant
pour les clients francophones. Il a travaillé dans le domaine la
santé et sécurité au sein des conseils francophones de la région
d’Ottawa pendant 9 ans. Il a aussi été président du Regroupement des
conseils francophones pour la santé et sécurité où il a joué un rôle
clé pour l’obtention de meilleurs services en français pour les
conseils scolaires.
Alain
a amassé une expertise solide en santé et sécurité auprès
d’organismes tel que IAPA,
ESAO,
Pinchin Environmental et le Collège Canadien de la sécurité civile
pour ne nommer que ceux-là.

Janice is a Registered Nurse and Certified Registered Safety
Professional with 24 years of experience. She holds a certificate
in Health and Safety from Ryerson University, as well as a
certificate in Occupational Health Nursing.
She
has held positions as an Occupational Health Nurse, Health and
Safety Manager, and as a Health and Safety Consultant. She has
worked in a variety of organizations
in the private and public sectors.
She developed and implemented a Health and Safety System
with one client which achieved a 93.3% Workwell audit score.
For
the last 10 years she has worked as a Field Consultant for ESAO ,
and contributed to the development of a number of resource materials
and training programs.

Ed
comes to the
Education Sector with over 25 years of professional health and
safety experience from a variety of sectors, covering primary
manufacturing, automotive, municipal, healthcare, and private
consulting.
Ed is a graduate of
both the University of
Western Ontario and the
University of Toronto, achieving a Masters of Health and Sciences degree in Occupational &
Environmental Health and Safety. He is certified in Canadian Risk
Management by the Institute
of Risk Management
and is a Certified Health and Safety Professional by the Board of
Canadian Registered Safety Professionals. |

Blaine has
over
20 years of ergonomic and health and safety
experience and specializes in providing customized services and
training programs to the education sector. Blaine has held positions
in the education sector with the Niagara College of Applied Arts and
Technology, George
Brown College, the Simcoe County
Board of Education and the District School Board Niagara. He holds
a Master of Science Degree in Ergonomics/Human Factors Engineering,
a Technologist Diploma in Safety Engineering Technology, and a
Certificate of Occupational Hygiene and Safety. He is a
Registered
Safety Professional (CRSP), an international Associate Ergonomics
Professional (AEP),
a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) and a Certified
Environmental Specialist (CES). |

Jim
holds a BSc from McMaster University and a medical Diploma in
Industrial Health from the University of Toronto. He has been a
Registered Occupational Hygienist since 1983. Jim worked with
large industry and consulting firms conducting air quality research and
health investigations for a diverse group including industry,
government and labour. Jim brings over twenty-five years of
occupational health and safety experience from a wide range of
workplaces. |

Greg brings a wide range of safety experience to ESAO. He
joins us from the healthcare field in the Ottawa area. Previous to
that Greg worked for the automotive sector as a safety professional
that led him all over North America and Mexico.
Greg
has recently attained his Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)
accreditation to go along with Certified Health and Safety
Consultant (CHSC) accreditation over six years ago. Greg is an
active member in his local Canadian Society of Safety Engineering (CSSE)
chapter while also sitting on the National Professional Development
Conference for CSSE. |
