New! Call for Applications:
Health and Safety Association for Government Services
The Health and Safety
Association for Government Services (HSAGS) is a not for profit
corporation created as a result of a restructuring of Ontario’s health
and safety associations. Its creation marks the beginning of a new
approach to delivering prevention services in Ontario.
HSAGS is the amalgamation
of the Education Safety Association of Ontario (ESAO), the Municipal
Health and Safety Association (MHSA), and the Ontario Safety Association
for Community and Healthcare (OSACH). As of January 1, 2010, it is one
of four new health and safety associations designated and funded by the
WSIB pursuant to section 6(1) of the Workplace Safety and Insurance
Act, 1997. As such, HSAGS will play a key role in the Ontario
health and safety system’s Road to Zero commitment to eliminate
workplace fatalities, injuries and illnesses.
HSAGS is seeking for candidates who are employers and workers with
leadership experience from Ontario’s education sector, community and
healthcare sector, and the municipal sector who have vision, leadership,
and commitment. This is an opportunity to provide leadership in the
health and safety field within these communities and help HSAGS meet
client needs. This is also an opportunity for your organization to be
recognized as a leader in healthy workplaces.
Applications will be accepted until March 8,
2010.
Please go to the
HSAGS
Advisory Council page for details.
